The princess dart is a type of dart or seam that gives a very nice fitting to female dresses.  Like I said in my last post, princess seam starts from the armscye through your bust and then to under your bust or where ever you want your dart to extend to.

I have recorded some step by step videos that will help with the construction of princess seams both for the front and back bodice, and also how to cut your princess seam on fabric using your already cut-out pattern.

If the front bodice will not have a zipper, you will end up with 3 separate pieces and for the back - 4 separate pieces because of the attachment of the zipper. These are the videos below↓↓
